Small operations are done under local anesthesia either in the clinic or in the
minor operation theatre in the Emergency
Room (e.g. removal of fish bones endoscopically from hypopharynx, foreign bodies of the nose and ear, small cysts in the head and neck and control of epistaxis).
Nasal Operations: SMR/Septoplasty, Surgery of the Turbinates (SMD and Partial Excision), Sinus Washout, Manipulation of Fractured Nasal Bones, Rhinoplasty, Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Rhinoscopy and Biopsy of Tumours.
Pharyngeal Operations: Adenoidectomy, Tonsillectomy, Cryo Surgery of Lingual Tonsils, Biopsy of Nasopharyngeal or Oropharyngeal Tumors, Biopsy of Tongue Tumors, Biopsy of Palatal Tumors, Removal of Stones from Salivary Ducts, Uvulopalatoplasty.
Endoscopic Procedures: Laryngoscopy (diagnostic and curative), Oesophagoscopy (diagnostic and curative), Bronchoscopy (diagnostic and curative), Endoscopic Sinus Surgery.
Ear Operations: Myringotomy + Grommets, Various types of tympanoplasty (including ossiculoplasty), various types of Mastoidectomy, Stapedectomy, Otoplasty.
Head and Neck Cases: Salivary Glands (Excision of Submandibular Gland, Superficial Parotidectomy), Lymph Nodes: Excision Biopsy (after panendoscopy), Thyroglossal Cyst Excision, Excision of Neck Cysts (e.g. Branchial Cyst). |
